{ Club Information }
The Bluenose
Cat Club is a non-profit organization, over
30 years
in existence… open to anyone owning or interested in all cats.
Affiliated
with the “American Cat Fanciers Association” (ACFA), the aims of the
Club are:

To sponsor
and promote the welfare of all cats.
-
To hold Cat
Shows and promote interest in and knowledge of purebred cats.
-
Cultivate
friendship among and promote the interest of owners, fanciers and
breeders of cats in the Maritime Provinces & neighboring regions.
-
Encourage
breeding towards the ACFA Standards of perfection and encourage kindness
to all animals, assisting in the prevention of cruelty and maltreatment
of animals.
-
Assist in
feral/abandoned cat overpopulation in HRM.
The Bluenose
Cat Club accomplishes the above by:
-
Sponsoring
cat shows for household pets and registered purebreds.
-
Doing public
displays promoting the health, welfare, neutering and spaying of all
cats kept as pets.
-
Bringing
therapy cats to senior’s homes.
-
Supporting
the SPCA,
Bide Awhile and other animal rescue organizations.
-
Operating a
separate “spay/neuter” fund above & beyond other assistance given to
shelters.
